Col de Vence

Can you believe this place is known for stories about UFO's? Yes, Col de Vence is well-known for that. People go there in hope of seeing flying saucers, hear strange things. Some will even go there camping just hoping something happens. I know of a couple people in photo clubs in my area who wanted to organize a long evening there to photograph strange things if they happen.
I have no opinion on that, but I had a ride there at night with the scooter and it's pretty scary when you find yourself alone in the dark in the middle of nowhere.
Back to reality now and let's agree that Col de Vence is also known for it's raw beauty. I like to go there because it's like another planet just 20 minutes from my place. We've been there for about an hour earlier this month. The sky was cloudy and everything was pretty much grey. But while we were walking on some of the paths there the sun came through and gave us some amazing light before setting behind the mountains. I only had a couple minutes to work on some shots. What started as a simple walk for fresh air turned out to be very interesting.
What's great about living on Côte d'Azur is the fact that sea and mountains are just a half hour drive from each other. I happen to live right between the two.. Great!
Good Light!
